Did you know this spring we will need over 1000 bales of hay?
Help us get to our goal by sending a St. Patty’s Hay Gram! For $13 (the cost of one bale of hay) we will send a note from a resident of your choice to yourself or a gift recipient! Gift emails will be sent on St. Patrick’s Day, Sunday March 17th.
Aziel
Aziel came to us as a puppy and it was quickly apparent that something was wrong with his gait. We found out that he needed both hips replaced. Aziel requires lifelong pain medication and he happily lives in our retirement area even though he is not a retirement age.
Chaos
Chaos is a dwarf mini horse gelding and was found terrified and alone at a horse auction. Now his confidence has grown and he loves to play ball!
Belle
Belle was born at The Riley Farm Rescue and is daughter to Elizabeth. She came from the same North Carolina hoarding situation as Sebastian. Belle had to have a femoral ostectomy due to a breakage, and she had a very long healing process. Belle is on daily pain medication and will be for the rest of her live, but she manages well and lives a life of a very happy piggy.

Gregory absolutely loves animal crackers!
HOPE
Hope was rescued when Marla was alerted to that her lamb, Thumbelina, was in need of help. Thumbelina was not nursing and was declining quickly. Luckily, Hope was rescued along with her lamb Thumbelina.
Jordyn
Jordyn was pulled as an orphaned goat who's mother passed away. Living conditions were terrible where many animals didn't survive. Jordyn now lives a normal life with his best friend Wayde. Both boys are love bugs!
Kimberly
Kimberly was rescued from an extreme neglect case where sadly her baby passed away. Kimberly "adopted" Kent, who had lost his mother in the same neglect case. Kimberly had more bad luck and contracted listeria from moldy hay at the case. Fortunately, with hospitalization, Kimberly pulled through and is living a happy life!
Luke
Luke is TRFR's largest goat! He is an Alpine goat and is taller than all of the mini horses! Luke LOVES attention and will give anyone a back rub with his head. He's a gentle, loving giant!
Patrick
Patrick is one of our OGs and was rescued from a livestock animal auction where he was sitting in a corner staring at the wall trembling. We were able to pull Patrick and his best friend Petal who continue to have an amazing bond!
KOBE
Kobe is son to Ann, and is from a North Carolina hoarding case. He was born in the that terrible enviornment, but luckily as a piglet was able to come and live out the rest of his life in sanctuary. Kobe will lay down right in front of you for a belly rub!
monique
Monique was rescued Easter of 2021 with her two lambs, Kelley and Shirl! The three live their lives together and this family is the sweetest!

CORNELIA
Cornelia is a dwarf mini foal who was living in an open pasture without her mom and really struggling walking. Dwarf minis commonly have joint problems. Luckily, Cornelia is doing much better with her pain management schedule. She gets around great and does not exhibit any signs of discomfort.
Wizard
Wizard is a spunky, quirky boy who just looks like a wizard with his perfect Billy goat beard! He loves the ladies and the ladies seem to love him right back! He was rescued from an awful neglect case, but you wouldn't be able to tell that now! He's a happy, playful boy!
Zoë
Zoë was found to be living in a basement, pregnant. She had to be carried up the basement stairs, rats were running around everywhere. It was like a horror scene out of a movie. Zoë was an angel from the moment she came to TRFR, she followed everyone around like a puppy. She eventually gave birth to a healthy baby lamb, Sidney!
