With the winter chill, our residents need warm straw in their barns! On top of that, some of our residents have some medical expenses. Others just always want a little treat! This season, sponsor an animal with a bale of straw, some love, or a snack.
*Scroll all the way to the bottom to choose your resident and check out!*
You (or the gift recipient) will receive an email from your chosen resident thanking you for your sponsorship! Can’t decide which animal? Choose “everyone” in the resident options at the bottom of the page to send a gift to all! Gift emails will be sent on Valentine’s Day.
asher
Asher, one of our Great Pyrenees dogs, is a sweet boy and an amazing guard dog! He lives in the big barn protecting some of the goats. He recently suffered an injury but thanks to generous donations, he can get the help that he needs.
Belle and pinocchio
Belle and Pinocchio, both pot belly pigs, were born at TRFR. Their mother, Elizabeth, was rescued from a hoarding case in North Carolina. Belle had a major surgery at Cornell a few years ago - a femoral ostectomy. She is a little slow getting around, but otherwise lives a normal life. Pinocchio is a sweet boy and can often be found snuggled with his siblings. This sister and brother are very thankful for warm straw and bedding this Valentine's Day!
Captain Longbeard
Captain Longbeard is known for his majestic horns and long beard! He is a feisty boy who LOVES his grain! Send this boy some snacks to share with his friends on his very own ship! A fun fact is that there are three barns with ocean themes in Captain and Pals' area!
clyde
Clyde was TRFRs first bearded dragon! He is the most picky beardie of the four who call TRFR home. He is mostly partial to his bugs, but will eat his squash willlingly. Clyde loves greens for Valentine's Day and he will share some with his pals!
cornelia
Cornelia is a dwarf mini foal who was living in an open pasture without her mom and really struggling walking. Dwarf minis commonly have joint problems. Unfortunately, after evalution by our vets and New Bolton, her joints had already fused making her not a surgical candidate. Cornelia is doing much better with her pain management schedule. She gets around great and does not exhibit any signs of discomfort. Cornelia appreciate treats this Valentine's Day!
drew
Drew came to TRFR with his siblings in 2020 when a truck had overturned carrying 2000 piglets. There were 40 survivors who were allowed to go to sanctuaries. Drew is a sweet boy who absolutley loves snacks and warm bedding! He loves to arrange his straw bed just so and is grateful for a bale this Valentine's Day!
fiona
Fiona is a Sulcata Tortoise, known to grow up to 200 lbs and live over 100 years! Fiona came to TRFR because her previous family could no longer provide her the care she needed. Fiona is our smallest Sulcata and prefers the sunshine!
lucian
Lucian was rescued from an auction and spent the first six months of his life very ill. We were not even sure if he would survive. He grew up to be a feisty boy and enjoys playing with volunteers by head butting! He has slowed his antics down a little bit because he suffers from painful arthritis in his joints. But he is still a feisty sweet boy!
monique
Monique was rescued Easter of 2021 with her two lambs, Kelley and Shirl! The three live their lives together in the sheep area and love face rubs, especially Monique! This family is the sweetest and loves Valentine's Day treats.
theodore
Theodore the Hero was rescued along with Clarabelle and were the first two goats at TRFR! Both were bottle babies whose mothers would not nurse them. They are part of the reason TRFR is even in existence. Sadly, in mid December, we lost Clarabelle to a bladder tumor. Theodore is missing Clarabelle, but doing ok. Theodore got his nickname from alerting us that Clarabelle was stuck over a fence and he saved her!
winston
Winston is a rambunctious Nigerian Dwarf goat. He loves to headbutt and rub his horns on anyone and everyone, attempting to knock you over. He and his brother Oliver were the third and fourth goats of TRFR!
