Welcome December's new friends!

Riley Farm founder Marla and volunteer committee member Sue went to a livestock auction last week in the hopes of bringing home some animals in need of sanctuary. They ended up coming home with these four amazing souls, who will now live their lives in peace on the farm forever.

Meet Chase! After arriving at the safety of the farm, Chase started to show signs he wasn’t feeling well and it was discovered he had hoof rot. After receiving immediate care at Fenton River Vet Hospital, he improved quickly and was able to return to his new home with us! He is now feeling much better and soaking up the sunlight in the hospital area. Chase was named by Sue who helped rescue him and is his sponsor.

Meet Caitlin (left) and Ash (right)! They were together at the livestock auction, were rescued together, and now will live the rest of their lives together in peace and surrounded by love. They are currently at the Blue Barn (as you can see), hanging with the birds.

Ash is a male sheep, but his namesake is the amazing woman who runs Twist Of Fate Farm Sanctuary, Ashley. Caitlin’s namesake is none other than Caitlin of Rancho Relaxo.

Meet Captain Long Beard! He was named by Deacon of Twist Of Fate. It’s certainly a fitting name for him, with his epic beard and his huge horns sort of resembling a broad captain’s hat! Captain was just castrated to make his life a little more comfortable (did you see the video on Instagram where he was trying to flatten his barn?) He is recovering well and will be able to join the rest of the goat herd soon enough. Did you see his gorgeous highlights?
